Commissioned by Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Spiri III: Sacred Ritual is to be performed in March/April 2025 led by the future chef conductor Klaus Mäkelä. Three independent orchestra works - on the subject of breathe, universal energy, and the cyclical nature of the universe - share the title Spiri. As the culmination of the Spiri trilogy, Spiri III is additionally shaped by the sound world of Messiaen's orchestra and opera in the elegantly profound tones of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
